The campaign begins in the small harbor city of Averndil. A millennium ago, it was an elven fortress; today, the Tower of Leaves on the small island standing sentinel in the center of the harbor is the only ancient structure that remains. The brass dragon Naerthyniatra rules the city with a loose grasp, allowing it to serve as a hub for trade and piracy as long as internal order is maintained and the river of gold and silver coin that feeds the harbor continues to flow.
